It's Nice To Meet You.... But This Blog Is About Me.

First things first, I’m Alaina. I don’t really know what that means other than I can buy beer whenever I want… provided I have any money left over from my Chinese food addiction. But here’s what I do know:

1. I’m a sucker for a good story. Whether its from a book, movie or from a person- any story is a good story. Unless you’re telling me about something gross like how you cleaned out your moldy fridge. That’s not a good story.

2. I love the world and all things in it; Specifically and only really referring to baby animals, starbucks, Kahlua, beaches and food.

3.  I also think a lot of things in this world are really facking dumb and senseless.

This is the summer before my senior year of college and so far I've accomplished failing at a diet, not exercising, painting my nails a sick shade of turquoise and only getting 24 pages into a book before falling asleep. And I saw The Great Gatsby. Not because I ever remotely liked the book. Or the era. Or whatever that dumb green light symbolized according to my tenth grade English teacher. But because I love Leo. And I love him enough to leave my bed and put real pants on for 2 hours and 23 minutes of my life. 

But as a newly twenty-one year old, I feel like I have a lot of wisdom to share. And by wisdom I'm referring to really great Ke$ha songs, celebrity gossip I read about, really cool outfits I'd like to buy and  food I want to try to cook someday once I am ready to leave behind my easymac training wheels. And drink recipes. Lots and lots of drinks.
